This has been my local go-to HK café for the past few months.
Perfect quick lunch spot.
Tried a few different items, but every time I go we always end up getting the fish ball rice noodle soup.
Chiu Chow Fish ball rice noodle soup ($7.50)
Decent amount of fish balls/fish paste slices, but more importantly the soup is key! The cilantro, green onions and most importantly the fried garlic definitely adds a nice flavour to each bite. The rice noodles are average, I've had fresher elsewhere but regardless a good bowl of fish ball noodle soup.
Ketchup pork chop rice ($8.99)
Pork chop was tender, didn't exactly like how it was deep fried though. In terms of sauce it had more ketchup flavour, definitely needed more sauce though. Overall it was tasty.
Their green onion chicken mixed with instant noodles is a tasty one as well. -

we should give zero star.
don't u think it s so rude to take the custom drink away when we point their( one piece of long hair in the food) mistake?!
wth
never met this! the waiter took our drink away just because we said"hair in food, please change"
so weird and so rude.
and push custom to pay tips.
never gonna go anymore. -

Went here with my god brother and his friends, this place is on the southwest side of the Metro Square plaza.
Cute HK style cafe. Decent portions and they have specials throughout the day, which are mostly around or under $11 and they come with soup and coffee/tea.
I am not a fan of their preserved lemon with honey though. I just wanted a lemon water or tea with honey, but they did not have that. Otherwise, their food is quite affordable and friendly for young families and university students.
I might try their curry next time I am here, but this was more of a random spot for me to catch up and see my god brother than anything else. He and his friends wanted somewhere close that is also on the cheaper end.
The lower score is mostly because the food selection and taste seems average for a HK style cafe and it took over 20 minutes for our group of 6 to be seated even though many people that came after us were already seated. They just give seats to smaller groups first it would seem, instead of waiting and grouping tables together to have us seated more promptly. We could have sat down much sooner, but it was not until a third of the patrons were leaving all at the same time that they gave our table...
Food here seems to be cheaper, too, mainly because it is carb heavy, and not based on nutritional factors. -

Hong Kong style cafe. Tea, coffee was strong and delicious. We have try many Hong Kong style French Toast, we vote them having the best one!! Great breakfast place! Service was a little slow, but food was good enough for us to come back for sure!

Everything we expected.
We ordered a baked pork chop with tomato sauce and a mo por tofu. Both were delicious. Being the only HK Cafe around that area, it does not shy away from keep their customers with their food.
The Mo por tofu and rice was a bit different than the traditional dish, but the flavour combination with minced pork and preserved veggies was excellent. It was less mild and gave the same but exciting flavour profile. I really liked that they also didn't skimp on the rice. They gave a full dome of rice.
The pork chop rice was also delicious. It did take longer for it to come suggesting that there was some actual baking involved. After eating in so many restaurants, this place is among the best. Firstly they actually have legit fried pork chop sitting on a bed of fried rice. Some places don't like to crispy up their pork! And the sauce is always the star of the show. They were absolutely perfect on the amount of sugar added. It doesn't sting like the sour tomato sauces in some other restaurants.
I was extremely impressed by this HK Cafe. After all these years, it still has maintained its quality.
